To potential KCL Consulting cabinet clients: We are writing this reference letter for KCL Consulting. We first met with Kirk in May of 2021 to discuss a potential total kitchen remodel following repairs caused water damage. Kirk came out an gave us several options including just updating all of the existing cabinet to a complete remodel and new layout. We showed him some inspiration photos and Kirk came up with a design that is not only updated but also provided us with a beautiful island that not only is a work space but also our dining space. We also have more storage than before the update. Kirk guided us through selecting the best cabinet style and finishes. He explained all of the pros and cons of painted vs stained as well as designs that were not only visually appealing but very functional by adding large deep pull-out drawers which I had not considered. We purchased all of the appliances early and everything fit perfecting after the cabinets were installed. We did this remodel during a very difficult time of acquiring materials and Kirk kept us updated on the status of the cabinets and they arrived on time and in perfect condition. Having recently experienced a devastating plumbing failure in our home which caused extensive water damage I was introduced to Kirk Phillips for the repair & restoration of our cherished basement apartment for my 91 year old mother. Kirk demonstrated astute listening skills, quickly assessing what we needed & providing samples to select from that were within our budget without forgoing the quality we wanted. He has been most patient with my mother, explaining how the stages of installation would occur; time frames but most of all included her in the decision process. Kirk’s role was to install new cabinets, sink, and hardware in the kitchenette area & to restore the damaged shower area in her bathroom to an updated & safe area.
